Studio Commissions
Each ceramic piece is made individually in the studio through wheel throwing, handbuilding, surface testing, glazing, and kiln firing.
Commissions may include functional ware, sculptural objects, wall pieces, or other small-scale ceramic forms developed through direct conversation and reference sharing.
Production is intentionally limited to maintain a slower and more focused studio process.
For commission inquiries, please submit the form below with your idea, references, dimensions, or intended use. Availability, estimated timeline, and project details will be discussed individually.
Studio Approach
Each commissioned piece is developed through a slower studio process involving forming, drying, glazing, testing, and kiln firing. Minor variations in proportion, glaze movement, surface texture, and firing results are considered intrinsic to the material rather than imperfections.
Most works are produced as individual pieces or in very small batches. The focus is placed on material presence, usability, and subtle differences that emerge during making.
Possible Commission Types
- Ceramic cups and mugs
- Tableware and serving pieces
- Lidded containers and small storage forms
- Wall pieces and hanging objects
- Small sculptural or decorative works
Commission Process
1. Initial Inquiry
Share your idea, intended use, approximate dimensions, references, or preferred surface direction through the inquiry form.
2. Review and Discussion
After reviewing the request, I’ll confirm feasibility, estimated production timeline, and shipping details before work begins.
3. Studio Production
Each piece is formed, dried, glazed, and kiln-fired individually. Depending on scale and complexity, production usually requires several weeks.
4. Packaging and Shipment
Finished works are packed carefully and shipped internationally once fully completed and inspected.
Notes
- Because of the nature of handmade ceramics and atmospheric firing, variations in glaze behavior, color depth, texture, and form will naturally occur between pieces.
- Commissioned works are made specifically for each request and are therefore considered final.
